Best known for:
Production, touring like crazy, doing lots of bootlegs and sampling The Doors.
Tune of the year:
Axwell & Dirty South 'Open Your Heart' (Axtone)
Producer of 2008:
Axwell, Ingrosso, Angello, Eric Prydz, Style Of Eye… I've been playing a lot of their records all year.
First record you ever brought:
Des'ree's 'Life', at some secondhand record store.
Weirdest thing you've seen all year:
I witnessed a bunch of guys in their 40s trading collector stickers and cards. I did that when I was eight-years-old!
Top gadget of 2008:
Mobile-Me. It syncs everything on my Macbook and iPhone seamlessly.
Your year in five words...:
My best year so far.
Most important thing you've learnt recently:
To be more independent. I think a lot of touring did that.

Serbian-born, Australia-based Dragan Roganovic is one of the hippest names in house music. As a DJ/producer he's known for never playing it safe, mixing up punky guitars, disco elements and electro basslines into a heady future house brew. And 2008's already proven to be a fine vintage for Dirty South, judging by his incessant touring and production schedule. "I've had an amazing year," states Dragan. "I've toured some amazing places all over the USA and Europe and everywhere else in between. "I managed to squeeze in some production work, such as the collaboration with Axwell, I remixed Snoop Dogg and released a mix compilation on Toolroom amongst many other things. "As far as gig highlights, that would be Ultra Music Festival in Miami, Pacha New York and my Ibiza residency, Sankeys in Manchester and two crazy gigs at Ministry of Sound in London with Pete Tong and Steve Angello. Dragan has just finished a new track and also a remix for a cool Australian electronic band Pnau. And there's no rest for the wicked either, as Roganovic promises plenty more in 2009. "There'll be more production, more touring and I'll also be starting my own label next year," he reveals.
