Marcel Woods
| NEW ENTRY

It's been a hectic year for festival favourite Marcel Woods. His big room productions 'Life is Like a Box of Chocolates' and 'On Fire' picked up support across genres, testament to the versatility of the 'Da Bom' perpetrator. Tiësto, Paul van Dyk, Eddie Halliwell and Yoji are all pushing the Dutchman's cause so it's no surprise to see Marcel return to the Top 100 poll in 2008. "It's been a great year," grins Woods, currently on tour in Australia. "I have a new compilation coming out called 'Musical Madness', which is also the name of my label and club night. And on a personal level I got married, which was a wonderful moment for me." Not content with rocking his own parties, Woods has become a firm favourite of the huge Sensation crowds across Europe. He was the first DJ to be asked to play both the Sensation Black and White events, demonstrating the versatility of a man who refuses to be tied to one genre. "Those parties have definitely been the highlight of the year for me," Marcel reflects. "Off the back of those sets I've been asked to perform at Sensation parties in Poland and Belgium. The atmosphere is just fantastic so I can't wait!" Watch out for Marcel's album in 2009 and the Musical Madness brand coming to a speaker stack near you soon.
