Back in the Top 100 with a good degree of vengeance is dance music's axe-wielding answer to Kid Rock, Asher 'Skazi' Swissa. Skazi has spent another 12 months mashing together those visceral psy-trance beats with lashings of his trademark thrash guitar… evidently, to the continuing delight of his fans. Once again it's been the twin psy-trance bedrocks of Brazil and his native Israel that have provided some of the biggest spills and thrills for Swissa. "I performed at the Planeta Atlantida, in the south of Brazil, back in February. It was in front of 60,000 people but I only discovered afterwards that it'd be broadcast live to millions on Brazilian national television! "Other than that, I've been hitting NYC, LA, oh, about 15 cities in Mexico, Russia, Belgrade, Greece, Portugal, India, Cypress, Austria, Serbia.... God, ask my agent, I can't even keep track myself!" In his evidently limited down time, extreme sports fan Skazi has "been killing it moto-cross riding, diving and just having lots of fun". But life hasn't been without a touch of down-to-earth domesticity. "This is a bit of a random one, but I was also a guest on a primetime broadcast cooking show! I'm now 'Mr grilled cheese sandwich anyone?!" he kids. So anything else he'd like to say to the people who voted for him? "Yep… never stop rocking!" We should have seen that one coming.
