Cosmic Gate's 2009 has been one largely geared around the release of 'Sign Of The Times', their fourth artist album. It's been backed, says Stefan Bossems, by an incredible run of release parties all over the world. "It's definitely been our busiest DJing year ever," he smiles. "We had an amazing early summer tour in the US, playing 14 gigs in four weeks." "Some great nights in Ibiza too!" adds partner, Nic Chagall. So where have they felt the EDM pulse beat strongest this year? "Probably the States," Nic muses, as Bossi chuckles, "Yeah, you'd have to say that about a place where you've played 40 times in the last 12 months!" 'Sign Of The Times' and associated gigging aside, Cosmic Gate have found plenty of time for remixing this year. "We've worked on tracks by Armin, Paul van Dyk, John O'Callaghan, Markus Schulz, Fabio XB and Kyau & Albert so far, and they've all had a very good reception when we've played them out," says Nic. As DJmag went to press, the lads were preparing for the Godskitchen Australia tour. "We're going to play on the amazing Boombox stage! We've not been to Australia for nearly two years and that makes us look forward to it all the more. "Next year will see our mix series 'Back 2 Back', er, back and then it'll be full steam ahead a new artist album."
