Earlier this year the mysterious, electronic-disco-punk duo, known individually as Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter, leaked news that they've actually started work on their new album. Since then, hardcore Daft Punk fans have been chomping at the bit in anticipation of this, their fourth album and the follow-up to their 2005-released 'Human After All' LP. But now, just to push us further to the brink of distraction, whispers have emerged that they're actually planning a string of live dates soon. Will these dates precede the album release? Will they come after the album is out? As usual with the merry Punk-sters, no-one really knows for sure. After all, they are also working on the soundtrack for forthcoming computer-game flick 'Tron Legacy', due for release in 2010, which whispers suggest they might appear in. Since they started making music in 1995, Daft Punk's legend has mushroomed. These days, they're lesser-spotted than the likes of Prince. If they are sighted, they're usually wearing robot masks, so you're never really sure if it's them, anyway. One thing is for sure - they still cut it as DJs (otherwise they wouldn't be in this poll), even if it's more about their legend than their actual gig schedule.
