This year has seen Sasha reunited with his old DJ partner John Digweed for a series of sets around the world, among them London's SW4 festival, Exit in Serbia and a massive show at the breathtaking Trakai Castle in Lithuania. "The highlight of the summer was closing the main stage at SW4 with John, getting to play my Doves remix (of 'Jetstream') as one of the last records. Seeing the place go off was an absolute buzz." He's also among the growing number of DJs rating Eastern Europe as having a serious foothold in world dance music circles. "Romania has such an amazing scene,' he says. 'Such a solid base of DJs. They're so committed and they have such a great sound, and they're always interested in what you're playing. The crowds are really clued up. I always do a 1st May gig on the Black Sea coast, and it is always fantastic." As well as remixing for the likes of Kasabian, Pole Folder and Damian Lazarus, he's about to embark on a new project, heading into the studio for a four month stint in the first part of 2010. Though he is keeping tight-lipped on the details, he says it will be based around his live shows. "All will be revealed," he adds.
