It could be said that 2015 marked the year when Calvin Harris gave up on the EDM sound that brought a young produce r from Dumfries, Scotland to the top of dance music. Having release four immensely successful studio albums —

‘I Created Disco’, ‘Ready For The Weekend’, '18 Months’and‘Motion’— it was actually a collaboration, ‘How Deep Is YourLove’, with high-flying deep house trio Disciples that brought Calvin Harris even more chart success in 2015. The single has been riding high in the UK top 10 for the last three months.

In fact, the only real misstep from Harris in 2015 was when the producer appeared on stage in an Illuminati-style meeting for the ill-fated launch of high fidelity, artist-owned music streaming service Tidal, which he was given a 3% stake of alongside the likes of Deadmau5, Daft Punk and Madonna.

Other than that, Harris was busy dating Taylor Swift— the two were reportedly the highest-paid celebrity couple in music, although as DJ Mag went to press it was being reported that they'd split.

Harris splits his time between DJing, running his own label, Fly Eye Records — which has released 39 records since its inception in 2010 — and modeling for Emporio Armani, where the DJ can be seen staring pensively into the distance in a pair of the company’s tight-fitting pants.
