DJ Mag Top100 DJs

Dillon Francis

Earlier this year, there was a campaign swirling around social media to get Dillon Francis to host Saturday Night Live. By now, the dance music world at large knows him as much for his hilarious antics and constant invention of meme-able personas as for his chart-topping music — and by our own admission, all of it is pretty damn enjoyable. His Wikipedia page introduces him as “American DJ, record producer and internet celebrity”, but what it misses is that the prankster artist is also credited with pioneering the genre of moombahton, and Dillon continues to back up his humour with solid releases year after year. This isn’t his first go-round in the Top 100 poll, but it is the first time we’ve gotten a full set of answers — one for every single poll question asked — from him. Never one to take himself too seriously, the August cover-star of DJ Mag USA finally responded in a manner commensurate with expectations: see above and below.
