One of the elite breed of artists in this Top DJ list who don’t actually DJ, Flume’s seamless and sense-blurring live experience has been a hot ticket this year. Measured, restrained, slick and stylised, as his repertoire and experience have grown, his performances have become even more mesmerising and dynamic. Now a verified headliner, he’s able to bring massive crowds of tens of thousands to their knees with his daringly slow and mesmerising soul.

It’s an experience he’s treated fans to around the world at key festivals on his seemingly non-stop world tour this year, amongst many other high-profile moments and manoeuvres. There’s been serious gold receival with a GRAMMY for last year’s album ‘Skin’ and three awards in his native Australian awards, the APRAS. There’s also been new material in the form of his ‘Skin Companion EP 2’ and some major league collaborations: Lorde’s ‘The Louvre’ on her second album ‘Melodrama’, and Vince Staples’ grimey, sleazy hip-hop ‘Yeah Right’.

Now having officially closed the ‘Skin’ chapter, the world eagerly awaits his next move. And while we were left hanging for three years between his last two albums, it might not be quite so long this time as at least two big unidentified 'IDs' have appeared in his new sets since the summer.
