The career of DJ Snake, real name William Sami Étienne Grigahcine, was launched off the back of the international success of his massive ‘Turn Down For What’ featuring Lil Jon back in 2013.

The big news for Parisian Monsieur Grigahcine in 2019 was the release of his second studio album, the 17-track ‘Carte Blanche’, a star-studded affair with appearances from, amongst others, Sean Paul, Majid Jordan, Zomboy, Ozuna, ZHU, Offset and Cardi B. Drawing upon a range of electronic music influences from house, bass, dancehall, tropical and dubstep, ‘Carte Blanche’’s songs range from underground/club tracks to more pop-orientated material. Big singles from the album this year included the killer collabs between Snake, J.Balvin and Tyga ‘Loco Contigo’, and ‘Enzo’ with Sheck Wes, featuring Offset, 21 Savage and Gucci Mane.

In a very creative year for him, aside from festival gigs including Coachella, Ultra, Spring Awakening, Parookaville, Exit, various Tomorrowlands, and DJ gigs from Shanghai to Bogotá, DJ Snake has even found the time to collaborate with sportswear company Mizuno to design a pair of African savannah-themed trainers.
