Kygo

Kygo is a hugely busy man. In 2019 the Norwegian, who is still not 30 years old, put out his third album in as many years. He also released his first song in Norwegian, featuring Scandi-rappers Store P and Lars Vaular, and hooked up with Rita Ora for the ‘Detective Pikachu’ soundtrack.

His biggest success was his remix of Whitney Houston’s cover version of Steve Winwood’s song ‘Higher Love’. The track shot to the No.1 slot on Billboard magazine’s Dance Club Songs chart, making it Houston’s highest-charting posthumous release to date.

Like many of the stars in our poll, Kygo traversed the globe numerous times, taking his big mix of progressive, tropical, vocal and uplifting house to major clubs and festivals everywhere, while also kicking off his spectacular residency at Wynn Las Vegas.

In addition, Kygo raised over $110,000 for the LGBT Community at the UTOPIA Pride event and managed to find time to launch his own line of headphones. He is such a well-known face in America that he’s a frequent guest on daytime TV shows — Kygo is someone who has fully crossed over.
