Tujamo

Tujamo is proof that there’s more to German club culture than pitch-black techno. He’s naturally enjoyed plenty of success in his home country, but it would be fair to say that his particular brand of forthright, big room-ready electro-house is more popular around the world than it is in his own back yard.

For proof, check his sales figures. This year Beatport announced that Tujamo has sold more tracks over the years than any other electro-house artist, including such household names as Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki, Afrojack and Bassjackers.

It probably helps that the German DJ/producer continues to put out a steady stream of anthems. He began the year by delivering a killer revision of Tiësto’s ‘Grapevine’, before offering up the rushing, piano-laden heaviness of ‘Candy On The Dancefloor’ and the rap-sporting 808Charmer collaboration ‘Getting Money’. Those alone would have been enough to secure his space in the Top 100 DJs chart, but in typical fashion he’s continued to churn out hits for Spinnin’, Smash The House and Musical Freedom throughout the year.
