My House might represent a relatively new fixture on the Leeds clubbing map but its prided joy is as old as acid- house itself — Dave Beer’s Back To Basics.

Such is the charmed chaos that Beer brings, any venue that Basics inhabits is reliably a DJ’s dream, with recent guest including bump house master Claude VonStroke and Dutch techno purveyor Joris Voorn.

“My House is an intimate venue with an electric atmosphere but at the same time has four different spaces that open up like a Tardis,” says Basics resident Ralph Lawson. “It’s a special place for a special club.”
