Balconies so elevated they induce instant vertigo and corridors you could lose all night in, the epic amphitheatre of the former Camden Palace (for most it will always be so) might not be the weekly religious clubbing pilgrimage it was in the days of Graham Gold’s Friday night Peach, but still flames into 360º hysteria thanks to sporadic specials like Armand Van Helden’s pyrotechnic-fuelled spectacular and Justice’s religious concert fervour.

When it all goes off, there aren’t many main rooms that can match it. A London legend.
