Dark, edgy and unpretentiously cool, Oslo’s Villa is a classic basement club with burlesque flourishes nodding to its decadent gay club past. These days, it maintains a defiantly diverse flock with musical diversity ranging from The Bug’s ragga-tinged digi-dub apocalypse to Mathew Jonson’s melodic intricacy with dubstep, jazz, breakcore and acid rock appearing.

Ewan Pearson, Altern 8 and Dinky have also played with Norwegian residents like DJ Strangefruit and Tore Jazztobakk.
