TAKING its interior cues from the excessive glamour of Hollywood homes in the '30s and '40s, Set provides just that, with its opulent backdrop a playground for Miami's rich and beautiful to take a break from the nearby boutiques and luxury hotels. With a former male model, photographer and son of a British rock star behind the club, it is certainly no shrinking violet, crystal and crocodile skin amongst the materials making up the Trophy Room, whose impressive stage presence has attracted plenty of genuine film stars.

It's not all just surface glamour though and the club's Funktion One, bolstered by sub-woofers, and state-of-the-art lighting packs a mighty punch when catering for America's new-found love of house. With Joris Voorn, Nic Fanciulli, Sharam, Bob Sinclar and Calvin Harris all recently on the cast, alongside the usual US menu of hip-hop and open format nights, Set's unique setting delivers new age sounds with a vintage feel.
