ACCORDING to the wigs behind Moscow's Discoteque, finding a balance between the mainstream and the underground is the club's priority, even if, residing in a part of the world where big names rule the roost, this can pose a challenge. Namedropped by Axwell as his "best new club of 2010" in our Top 100 DJs issue, the club currently represents some of clublands most recognised brands - the likes of Café Ole, Space Ibiza and Privilege - and plays host to boys as big as Angello and Morillo. It's no surprise, then, that Discoteque's VIP area is often overridden with glitter-clad femmes fatales and money-clip flashing businessman. Aside from that, though, the venue doubles up as a haven for clubbers in Moscow who love their basslines big and their beats even bigger.
