IN Western Australia, where attendance rates for music events drastically outstrip those for museums and theatre performances, it's no surprise that Club Ambar, host to the likes of Shonky, Hernan Cattaneo and James Holden over the last twelve months, encouraged Perth's click-happy rave kids to vote crazy this year. "It's in a basement and it has a killer sound system!" explains the club's founder, Liam Mazzuchelli. It's also a venue synonymous with Oz's breakbeat scene that's welcomed Plump DJs, Krafty Kuts and Meat Katie over the years, organised the outdoor Breakfest events and picked up year-after-year honours at the Perth Dance Music Awards.
