The Chinese doctrine of Tao is a path to enlightenment, so its use as the name of a club in Las Vegas, home to busty women and buffed-up topless men cavorting to the likes of 50 Cent and DJ Vice, is a tad incongruous. But then, given that Las Vegas has become a hotspot for weaning US high-rollers off rock and onto the sound of dance music, perhaps there's a hidden logic to it. With a 40-foot-long outside terrace, go-go dancers and a booming soundsystem, if you're ever in town, watch out for the likes of Kim Kardashian, who spent her birthday there.
