Guaba Beach Bar
5

Originally set up as a beach bar with room for 200 in 2006, it took only a year until Guaba was attempting to accommodate 2000 or so crazy ravers.

By 2008, problems from the local authorities forced a move to a larger — also beachside — alternative along the Limassol Sea Road. Running from May to September, still today there's no reason to tar Guaba with the same brush you might be tempted to use for its neighbouring venues, its concern with established international DJs winning the attention of the more serious heads kicking around Ayia Napa.

Fedde Le Grand played under candle light during a power cut last summer, while Porter Robinson, Nervo and Gareth Emery also took to its custom-built beefcake of a soundsystem.

Known for its more adventurous approach to production, expect anything from CO2 bazookas and pyrotechnic flares to theatre dance performances while getting funky at Guaba Beach Bar.
