DJ Mag Top100 Clubs

The last time DJ Mag got lost within the iniquitous nooks and crannies of Berlin's most cavernous club, 12 hours became 24, and we ended up missing our flight. Not only did we not have a scoobies what the time was, quite frankly, we didn't give a shit. When the only daylight comes from intermittent flashing of the blinds in Panorama Bar, the only thing to do is to let the swarming, cerebrum-massaging force of Berghain's suspended speaker stack take over. With residents as good as Ben Klock, Nick Höppner, Steffi and Tama Sumo, who could blame you?

That aside, Berlin's most iconic club-within-a-club is not just Europe's finest for techno/house escapism. The venue supporting the ever-impressive Ostgut Ton label, responsible for the sublimely on-point Panorama Bar mix series (next up, Steffi), also hosts musical arts festival CTM.13 every year.

Typically, we asked the press-shy people behind it for some words and, predictably, they responded: “Every year, we don't do interviews. We just let the music and our work do the speaking.” So there you have it.
