Italy's highest placed club originally set up shop in Rimini's tourist region Riccione all the way back in 1989.

A wave of club formations followed, that now see the area stand as one of the busiest clubbing spots countrywide — the Ibiza of Italy, some call it — so the influence of “the Ricò” should not be underestimated.

Today, it's mightier than ever, bearing four rooms, including one dubbed “the Pyramid”, an epic Egyptian-styled mainroom, making it the monumental dance mecca on the Italian mainland.

The calibre of DJs are big enough to boot (Armin, Cox, Guetta), not forgetting the most blinding stars of the underground (Hawtin, Luciano, Väth). Cocoricò also has a 12-hour techno festival planned for 31st October featuring Chris Liebing, Adam Beyer and Ben Klock.
