TENAX
21

With a history tracing back to the origins of electronic music, Tenax's placement in this poll is as justified as any other. Providing a forum for ideas — a meeting point between new wave, punk and pop — with gigs from New Order, Spandau Ballet and Bauhaus during the '80s, this massive warehouse space not far from Florence has also brought Daft Punk and Radiohead to Italy.

These days, however, house and techno live at Tenax's core, with everything from nu-skool bass-inspired newbies — Peverelist, Kowton — crossing paths with scene veterans like Villalobos and Joris Voorn so far in 2014.
