The Warehouse Project
| RE-ENTRY

The nomadic club series that inspired imitators In:Motion and The Hydra, The Warehouse Project is the undisputed king of the Manchester scene. Starting out in Boddingtons Brewery in 2006, it moved to Store Street, a carpark underneath Manchester Piccadilly in 2007, and then to Victoria Warehouse, a gargantuan storage facility opposite Old Trafford stadium until 2013. After a short break, WHP returned to its spiritual home of Store Street for a scaled-down season last September, and as a result it's slingshotted back into the poll. With rumours of a sensational move to Mayfield Depot, an abandoned railway station, dying down after they were quelled by redevelopment plans, it remains to be seen where WHP15 will land.

Albert Hall has been the choice location for Transmission, a string of recent events involving Carl Cox, Defected and Flying Lotus. One thing that is certain, however, is that it will bring festival-sized DJ line-ups to the city every time it opens its doors, while the crème de la crème of live electronic acts will have Manchester's culture vultures flocking. An automatic stopping ground for brands such as Bugged Out!, Hospitality, Cocoon, Paradise and MK's Area, there's something for all breeds of dance fanatic at WHP.
