Nine clubs in the poll! What is it about Brazil's clubs that you people love so much? Well, having been lucky enough to visit them a few times, the answer is simple. Aside from being probably the most beautiful people in the world, with the tropical rhythm of samba pumping passionately through their arteries, Brazilians know how to have a good time. Combine that with an economy that's really thrived (until recently), it's only natural Brazilian clubs have reaped the benefit.

A place for the rich and famous to flash the cash and where warm-blooded party animals can let their hair down, the Brazilian dance scene has exploded in recent years and Matahari is one club that, as a result, has appeared on our radar. Successfully balancing underground credibility with VIP values, this white canopy in the forest is dedicated to delivering these people exactly what they want — glitz, glamour and a tasteful soundtrack. Renato Ratier, Phonique and Betoko were booked for this summer's season and Matahari Music Festival mostly celebrated local talent.
