Everybody needs a bit of fun in their life. Something club promoters have a tendency to forget. Forget all the train-spotting and chin-stroking that goes on in clubland, rather than supercilious, Elrow is simply just super-silly. Ignore its ultra-cool bookings policy, which has brought the likes of The Martinez Brothers, Seth Troxler, Tale of Us, Wolf + Lamb and DJ Harvey, among others, to the venue each month over the past year. Elrow is better known as an explosion of primary colours.

Inflatable animals, rubber rings, party hats and swimming pool floats... elrow's terrace more commonly looks like a children's party (for adults) than a house and techno club night. As sexy and sultry as they come, this daytime party shares as much in common with DC10 as it does the neo-rave philosophy of Bangface.

From the makers of Monegros, Florida 135 and Ker, last summer they made it to Space Ibiza. Riva Starr loved it. “The vibe at the Elrow closing was just next level,” he says. Expect Elrow to invade a city near you soon. Just remember not to take yourself too seriously.
