While the huge success of festivals in Croatia has become the biggest story in dance music over the last few years, the country's club scene is also growing thanks to the presence of venues like the island of Pag's world-beating Aquarius. The Zrce Beach venue co-hosts a variety of festivals, from the underground vibe of Hideout to Fresh Island's hip-hop flavour, and our own DJ Mag Beach Festival, but it's also a bona fide club destination in itself attracting the biggest names in EDM, house and techno.
Last year brought many changes to Aquarius, among them an After Beach Arena for daytime parties, an exclusive VIP area, and a sleek new dancefloor for the main club's nighttime parties. It was also the first year for their Sonus Festival, with deeper house and techno the theme, while mega names like Oliver Heldens, Axwell and Fedde Le Grand dropped in during the summer season to rock the spot.
