The top tourist spot for youngsters on cheap, hedonistic holidays, Sunny Beach has become very popular in recent times as an alternative to the Balearics for exported booze Britain antics. But that doesn't mean you should be sniffy about the Black Sea resort's Cacao Beach, no ma'am. 

In fact, this club is a far classier establishment than the immediate surrounds might suggest. Favouring cooler names from within house and techno over brash EDM, last summer Richie Hawtin, Paco Osuna, Marco Carola, Loco Dice, Jamie Jones and Mark Knight all played.

First opened in 2003, the beachside setting and understated look are also clearly inspired by the White Isle golden greats. Currently undergoing a full refurb, due to be finished in June, their substantial rise in the poll this year demonstrates they're a force to be reckoned with. Cacao Beach is doing its bit to put Bulgaria on the map as more than just a sun-soaked spot to get on the lash.
