DJ Mag Top100 Clubs

D-Edge

Year-on-year the volume of Brazilian clubs in this poll increases, reflecting just how much the new generation of clubbers in South America's gigantic nation have taken to dance music. With EDM still exploding and “deep” coming through, it's no surprise the number of Brazil nationals voting is constantly going up. However, one club that remains 100% resistant to external dynamics is D-Edge.

Regardless of what's happening in Santa Caterina, Maresias or anywhere else in Brazil, this club just continues to do its thing. It always has done, ever since opening its doors in the heart of Sao Paulo's concrete jungle almost 15 years ago. A stack of space-age rooms with a slick laser-strip lay-out designed by Multi Randolph, D-Edge is most serious about its music policy.

Championed by prized producer and all-round DJ stalwart Renato Ratier (who co-runs Warung), it attracts the world's most wanted house and techno DJs to its revered booth every week. With a label established worldwide and parties all over, D-Edge has defied all odds to serve unchallenged as Brazil's only underground superclub.
