The Arches

Sharing the same railway arch concept of many of the world's clubs, it's not the setting of The Arches that's particularly remarkable. However that isn't to imply its network of bare-brick tunnels is not impressive.

Also a bar, theatre and live music venue, it's more than just a club; serving not only as the automatic go-to for party-hardy Glaswegians looking to commit to a proper night out, but as the centre for all manner of cultural activities. Saying that, it's as a big-room rave haven that it's most famous.

Slam's 17-year-old techno night Pressure and Love Action, which has grown big enough to warrant its own occasional weekender at the club, booked Richie Hawtin and Hot Since 82 to headline this month alone. Sasha, Nervo, Hannah
Wants, MK, Ten Walls, Laidback Luke, Toolroom Live, Rustie and Sankeys 20
th anniversary are all also on the calendar, proving The Arches is just as much about variety as it is about getting sweaty.
