Shanghai's Myst club gives a subtle nod to the city's opulent past — the venue boasts an enormous water curtain, seven private party suites and 3D mirror walls — hosting sets from cake throwing, blow-up boat-riding EDM superstar, Steve Aoki, Dutch selector DJ R3hab, and UK legend John Digweed.

A dual project with a fashion brand of the same name, the Myst dancefloor is often packed with local Asian celebrities and international jetsetters, plus the odd catwalk show, movie shoot or leftfield art installation.
