Guendalina

Because of its location on the very heel of the boot of Italy, Guendalina is hot — both literally and figuratively. Being close to The Equator means long days of baking sun, which allows many of this club’s events to play out in the open air. We all know how much that adds to any occasion, but even without the rays this 4000-capacity club would still pull them in thanks to its big bookings. Of course, Italians are famously into their techno, and it is that genre that dominates the club’s booking policy: the last year has seen Robert Hood and Cassy, Carl Cox and Davide Squillace, Marco Shuttle and John Digweed all play.

All the action goes down from a raised stage, that is surrounded by big blocks of LED screens which add visual style to the musical mayhem. Confetti explosions often rain down on clubbers, raised terraces help encase the main dancefloor and add to the intense cauldron-like atmosphere and sun up and sun down always makes for a spine-tingling few moments.
