Guaba Beach Bar may have begun life as “more of a hut than a venue”, but today it offers Cyprus’ foremost clubbing experience, bringing the likes of Top 100 DJs winner Martin Garrix, Dutch hand-putter-upper Fedde Le Grand and trance heavyweight Paul van Dyk to entertain 2,000-strong crowds on the sunny shores of the Mediterranean.

But what keeps Guaba so fresh year after year? Well, such as in Ibiza, the club is seasonal, and utilises the yearly refresh to make improvements and change the decorations. When the space relaunches on 30th April with its annual Opening Fiesta, it’ll be sporting some fancy new features. Along with a new DJ booth design, Guaba is currently installing a new, custom soundsystem and two new bars — one specialising in cocktails and one boasting a some playground-style swings to relax in.

It’s not just the club that get in the spirit either — having started as a “party among friends”, the ‘Guabians’ keep the community vibe, showing their loyalty at popular events such as the venue’s Birthday Party, Summer Carnival and Red Party, where you can find sea of scarlet clubbers!
