ONE of the newest clubs in the Top 100, Shenzhen’s Sector only launched in December 2016 but they’re already making waves with their simple-but-effective message: It’s all about the rave. A critical statement in China’s club landscape, where a great deal of focus is on status and size, Sector eschews all the fancy bells and whistles for something a little more underground across its three rooms. With a penchant for bass genres and techno, and a D&B Acoustics soundsystem installed throughout, guests during its short-but-sweet life so far include Fabio, Herobust, Felguk, Makoto, Tom Swoon and Martin Jensen. The future’s bright for this new club.
