First opening its doors in 2002, Aquarius has been a mainstay of the Croatian summer party scene since before the Croatian summer party scene rose to international prominence. Running from May to September annually, stop by at any time during those months and an all-night session is on the cards, but the venue’s position as a festival hub has really sealed its authority, with no less than 10 major events using the beachfront haunt — complete with mountain view — each year.

Those who have been to the bass-heavy Hideout, urban-leaning Fresh Island, or techno-marathon Sonus, will know only too well what we’re talking about. Thanks to these gatherings and a big-name-focused in-house booking policy, last season saw the likes of MK, Solardo, Charlotte de Witte, Dubfire, Sven Väth and Ben Klock all grace the booth, while a list of local resident talent includes Trevon, Tony D, Sheko, Antonio and Marzz.

Changing ownership and management in 2019 means a fresh chapter for the new decade at this Adriatic address, although in many ways it will always be business as usual — powerful sound, stunning setting and seriously seductive vibes guaranteed throughout the summer.
