Belgian superclub Versuz is easily one of the most impressive and energized in Benelux. Its multiple purposes make it more of a sprawling village of technical delights and architectural flourishes than a mere club. Hydraulic furnishings and modular rooms change spaces “at the push of a button”, flexing it from 400-capacity to over 3,000.

A dizzying array of speakers and lighting gizmos litter the spaces — not to mention an outdoor swimming-pool-slash-ice-rink (depending on the time of year), in-house restaurant, clothes boutique, plus additional bars and an R&B room. Lavish barely starts to describe the architectural offering at Versuz.

Thus its following is unsurprisingly loyal, meaning the upkeep and programme are constantly in renewal. The last 12 months have seen key performances from legends such as Oliver Heldens, Don Diablo, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Purple Disco Machine, and Basement Jaxx. International concept nights such as the glitzy disco event, Glitterbox, or audacious fantasy-world experience, Elrow, have also taken place at Versuz, while the club’s outdoor summer (IPANEMA) and après-ski (Moose Bar) spaces have been renewed.

Besides everything, the venue’s much-loved affordable night dedicated to students (and all of us on a budget) — House of Students — takes place every Thursday night.
