It’s no surprise that Warung is yet to be shaken off the Top 100 poll. With roots firmly grounded in EDM hype, the venue's transition to the underground mirrors its ascendancy as one of the world’s best. Located near the beach, Warung’s appeal is more than just being a Brazilian club that tourists flock to for Carnival or yet another stop on a DJ’s world tour. Simply put, it is one of the most breathtaking venues audiences can lay their eyes upon.

Made almost entirely out of wood and straw, the eco-friendly venue has a natural respect for the surrounding jungle – its wooden architecture is inspired by Indonesian open-air temples. Accessible via a path that starts from the Atlantic ocean, the stunning walk is coupled with the bass, which reverberates through the ground, greeting attendees with warmth. It has become one of dance music's must-experience moments and though 17 years old, it feels like the venue's rise is still only just beginning. Pre-pandemic appearances from Honey Dijon, Peggy Gou and Solomun were getting Warung set up for a big year. Unfortunately, the club has been shuttered down during the pandemic, as Brazil, in particular, has been deeply affected. Here's hoping there's a bright future ahead for Warung.
