Founded in 1993, Cavo Paradiso has come a long way from the sheltered after-hours beach bar it once was. Situated on the island of Mykonos, the Greek club’s stunning architectural design looks like something out of a James Bond movie: an open-air haven peeking out over a 100-foot cliff above the famed Paradise Beach and the crystal-blue waters of the Aegean Sea. No doubt, the club’s idyllic backdrop has played a big part in its transformation into the internationally acclaimed venue it is today, attracting a host of big-name artists, from Nina Kraviz to David Guetta, over the years.
Cavo Paradiso’s breathtaking decor has long been celebrated for being at one with the island’s natural beauty, making it a magnet for crowds of eager party-goers. But much like other venues, the club had to adapt to Covid-19 protocols during the pandemic, operating at a reduced capacity. However, the downtime did give room for exciting renovations: a new location for the DJ booth, a new VIP Area, green room and sushi bar, amongst other things. Now approaching the first restriction-free summer in two years, booker and resident DJ Stathis Lazarides is excited for the future: “We have an incredible roster of artists and the renovation to look forward to. Beyond this, next summer we celebrate 30 years of Cavo Paradiso, so watch this space!”
