It's difficult to find a diehard dancer who hasn’t heard of the superbrand that “trades in wows”. Since launching over a decade ago, its parties at Row 14, elrow’s spiritual home and a former farmhouse in Barcelona (named for its location just 14 kilometres from the centre of the city), have notched up years of clubland history.
The story goes back much further though, and those behind it have been involved in pushing the boundaries of entertainment for over 150 hedonistic years. It’s famed for its creativity and curated chaos, with huge aerial structures, props, performers and a different theme every night. This doesn’t mean attention isn’t placed highly on the musical element too, which is driven by a Clair Brothers soundsystem throughout four rooms.
Residents include Bastian Bux, Tini Gessler, Viviana Casanova, De La Swing, George Privatti, Marc Maya, Toni Varga, Amedeo Picone & Florentia. Other guests include artists such as Patrick Topping, Green Velvet and Charlotte de Witte. elrow is also a travelling party, which has been everywhere from Amsterdam to Miami. It also boasts summer Ibiza residencies at Amnesia and Ushuaïa, and in 2022 launched a large-scale festival in Madrid, which, according to Music Director Victor de la Serna, will “define the year for us so far”.
