There’s no idea too extravagant at Stellar Night Club in the Siming district of Xiamen. With its extra-terrestrial feel, the inspiration for the club’s cosmic decor comes from the sci-fi film Interstellar. With a vast spaceship-like installation above the dancefloor, clubbers can enjoy a 360-degree view of their favourite DJs, from EDM superstar Martin Garrix to experimental producer Chace. Kitted out with a Vero sound system from Funktion-One, the vision of the venue is to allow punters to “forget the alternation of time and space” in tandem with electronic rhythms, according to Ivy, the club’s project manager. Having recently upgraded the lighting system, the club currently holds multiple “space screens”, making the Stellar experience even more immersive.
