A blueprint for Berlin techno clubs and home for the first-gen techno artists coming out of Detroit, Tresor began life just months after reunification, in a pre-war underground bank vault in the no man’s land straddling East and West Berlin. It moved to its current location, a former power plant, in 2007 — two years after being booted out of its original home — and still continues to attract the best and brightest in techno culture. Thirty-two years on and the club’s industrial charm continues to attract the raw and ready ravers who flock to Berlin week in and week out, as well as those seasoned clubbers of the capital.
