James Zabiela

It's already been a momentous year for James Zabiela. He's had a chance to show a different side to his musical personality, with a new versatility evident in his increasingly diverse DJ sets. DJing under both his own name and in the collaborative DJ partnership One+One with Nic Fanciulli, Zabiela's had the chance to sharpen his skills and take them to the next level.
"Doing the One+One thing has made me think about the structure of my set," Zabiela reckons. "The way Nic works is totally different to the way that I work, and I've learnt a lot from him."
As well as rocking Ibiza and various parties around the globe with the One+One tour, the acclaimed duo also released a two CD mix album to rapturous critical acclaim.
"We toured for two months solidly," recalls James. "We've got a couple of joint gigs left, and we're going to do a Radio 1 Essential Mix before the year is out."

The mix CD also debuted some new production collaborations as Rover and No Pressure alongside Fanciulli, and now the young DJ's caught the production bug.
"I just finished a new track last week, called 'Perseverance," says James. "It's in a similar vein to 'Human', ditching my robotic roots."
