Andre Tannenberger is flying the flag for future trance. While many still associate the DJ/producer with mega hit '9pm (Till I Come)', he's eager to stress that his style has expanded far beyond these parameters, subsuming new styles in the process. "If you listen to my style now, listen to the music, the style has changed," Tannenberger asserts. A prolific producer, with six albums of original material to his name, 2007's 'Trilogy' continued his run of hit records, and a new longplayer is due in spring 2009. His embrace of electro and rock elements has seen him win new fans all over. Just as likely to slip Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' into his set as the latest electro trance anthem, it's in the live arena that he truly comes to life. Indeed, this year's Global Gathering gig was particularly pivotal. "A highlight from earlier in the year was when I played Global Gathering in the UK. It was really great, it was kind of like a comeback," says Tannenberger. An Australian tour is planned for the end of the year and look out for new music soon.
