This year Signum have had to transform the way they work to overcome a huge geographical void. "Pascal is now living in Norway," relays Ronald from his studio in Holland. "He fell in love and got engaged to a Norwegian, so we are now working from two different countries." Although the dynamic is irregular, the trance veterans are confident of continuing success. "Of course it is different," Pascal reflects, "but we find that it works really well. We work on stuff at different times and then send it online to one another. I might work on the arrangements all day then send them online and Ronald will add drums or a bassline or something." This level of adaptability demonstrates both the strength of the pairing and also the ability to work independently of one another. This year they released 'Best of Signum Vol. 1', an album that chronicles their 11-year history of firing out trance hits. The album includes the classics and reworked versions of some of their biggest tracks, including their debut smash 'What Ya Got 4 Me'. With the increased geographical distance, volume two may take longer to prepare but don't expect any drop in quality from the Dutch duo.
