In terms of mainstream exposure, hard dance might have slowed up over recent years but the scene's first lady continues to live life at full throttle. From Ibiza's Judgement Sundays to tours in Canada and Asia, it's been another non-stop 12 months for the original Tidy girl. "The gigs that are really inspiring are those in new place and new locations," Lisa tells DJmag. "I've played this amazing cruise ship in Stockholm, an 18th century castle in Poland with 5000 ravers and a village party in the middle of nowhere in Russia." Back on home turf, the voluptuous vixen has been headline draw on many major festival bills, as well as taking her hard-hitting glamour to locations such as Grimsby, Burnley, Salisbury and Lincoln week by week. Yet when it came to provincial charm, no gig came close to the Young Farmers festival she played in Poyws. "They wanted me to stay on another day to judge the cattle but I kindly passed," she jokes. Following her debut artist album last year, Lisa is ready for a renewed studio flurry with collaborations planned with BK, Technikal and Ingo, who records for Darren Emerson's Underwater as Ingo Staar.
