With Euphonic - the label he signed to when his career kicked off - commemorating its 10th anniversary last year, East German trance DJ/producer Ronny Schneider, aka Ronski Speed, has had a lot to celebrate recently. And this year has seen him finish off his artist album. "It's been a great year," he says. "I could finally finish my artist album and I did a few nice remixes, like 'Daydream' for Markus Schulz and Andy Moor," Schneider explains. Schneider's also played gigs this year in countries he had never visited before, like the Dominican Republic, Argentina, Moldavia, Japan and Mongolia. But despite his hectic schedule, Ronny maintains that it's vital to remain grounded in reality. "I'm always trying to find the balance between playing and producing. And I try to stay at home one weekend a month for friends and family," he says. At the same time, he believes that travel is vital to his work as it plays a key role in developing musical ideas. "My style is always changing with new inspirations from my gigs, it keeps my style original and unique," he says. For the rest of 2008, Ronny plans to promote his album in more territories and release "a bunch of singles from it - many tracks have great potential".
