Mark Knight

With Toolroom Records hitting its 100th release and Toolroom Knights celebrating their third birthday at Ministry of Sound, Mark Knight has had a watershed year. "It's been a success on all fronts, really. I've got out of the cycle of just doing remixes and started back on the production front. And the label has released some amazing records, with releases from Underworld - their first collaboration ever - and David Guetta." A packed summer saw Knight hit SW4, Mysterlands and Creamfields all in one day, while four Toolroom Knights events in Ibiza ensured a top up to his tan from hosting bi-monthly residencies at both Pacha NYC and Vanguard, where a seven-hour set isn't unusual. "It's not about going crazy with massive guests," he adds of his party's success. "It's just about the core roster - myself, D Ramirez, Dave Spoon, Funkagenda and Martijn - all playing together with back-to-back sets. It's about having fun with all the lads together." But while Knight may not have been calling on any big names, they've been after him. He's just finished a remix of U2 track 'Moment of Surrender'. And if you still want more, you can catch his now weekly show on Ministry of Sound radio.
