Richard Durand found the perfect sunrise, in Goa, India, when he played Sunburn Festival for the fourth year on the trot. It's a burgeoning scene, where Richard has some serious fans.

"They're really emotional about it, they're really into it. Sometimes you see people that have driven for two days in a car to see you play for two hours." Australia is another biggie for Richard.

Travelling for 24 hours to play the key five cities there is high on his list of highlights - that and his summer, that took in 22 gigs in the space of six weeks. At one point, there were 11 flights over the course of four days. Punishing! His latest album 'Richard Versus The World', a conceptual release, comes out this month. Working with five different continents, five known producers and five unknown, "it's a whole new idea of releasing an album," he explains.
