“What I have always loved about the Top 100 is that there is always an anticipation leading up to the reveal,” Fadil El Ghoul, otherwise known at R3hab tells DJ Mag. “I am thrilled to be a part of this anticipation and be mentioned amongst my peers.”

R3hab's main motivation to “out-do myself every time” comes mostly from his fans. “Their support in what I do means the world to me.” At the last count his 'Samurai (Go Hard)' video had received over 10 million views. “This year has surpassed all my expectations,” he explains of a year that had him working with vocal talents John Legend, Eva Simons and Trevor Guthrie.

“Touring has been more rewarding than ever. Every city and every country is different and seeing people who know your music singing or moving to it in public is the greatest feeling,” he says in the week prior to his big South American tour.

What's the most exciting thing to happen to dance music lately? “It's been happening for a few years now, but certainly the rise of popularity. Increased popularity brings better music, better shows, new and emerging talent and a greater sense of community amongst the fans.”
