“A fusion between progressive, electro house and techno, topped off with Ozcan style,” is how the Dutch producer describes his sound. The “Ozcan style” is one that’s served him well in 2014, propelling him through a “rollercoaster” of a year that has seen him release a clutch of big tracks alongside some equally big festival appearances and club shows.

Among the releases, a collaboration with R3hab and NERVO, ‘Revolution’, and the no-frills, bassy big-room club anthem ‘SMASH!’ both got some serious airplay at festivals and venues over the year. The same was also true of the punchy electro house remix of Riva Starr, Fatboy Slim & Beardyman’s ‘Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat’ that Uzcan, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike released at the very end of 2013.

2014 isn’t finished yet, however, as Ozcan still has collaborations and remixes to finish, plus plenty of gigs left to play, as well as putting together a tour plan for 2015. Whenever he’s back home, though, you can always find Ozcan in his studio, “trying to keep up with the deadlines” after whatever show he’s just finished. As he points out, there’s “never a dull day in a DJ’s life”.
